One of my favorite things in FMA has gotta be how irrefutably useless Team Greed 2.0 was. They had no plans and got nothing done. This team contains the main character of the whole series and they still managed to be completely useless it’s beautiful.
Team Mustang/Grumman/Armstrong/Hohenheim/Scar: In preparation for the Promised Day, we’ve assassinated the Fuhrer of the country, kidnapped his wife to reveal the ulterior motives of the Higher Staff, recruited an army of old war buddies and Briggs soldiers to launch a full-scale coup of the country’s government complete with an arsenal imported from Xing, planted a counter-transmutation circle across the whole country to negate Father’s mass-genocide plans, as well as a second country-wide circle to destroy the obscructive alchemy Father has spread through Amestris, and are in the process of hunting down and killing the last of the homunculi. It’s been going pretty well for the most part.
Team Greed 2.0: Well Ed here is doing his best to act dead so the military doesn’t find him. All while warding off existential dread, which is good, he’s a trooper. The chimeras are following us because we feed ‘em. As for me, Greed? Aha yeah I’m planning on taking over the world. How you ask? Good question. No really, that’s a good question. I don’t know.
