im usually extremely disinterested in stuff about historical rulers but i do have a soft spot for absolutely insane roman emperors who everyone fucking hated. they would just do whatever back then . it would be like ‘the guy in charge has fucked every single senator’s wife and has married 6 women and 3 men and has had them all executed and now he wants to dress as a horse and drag a chariot through the city while neighing and biting and kicking people" and everyone just had to deal with it until after 3-5 years when his own guards invariably kill him
