nah i think it’s good to remember because some people actually don’t know. A lot of his work is pretty cool and stuff, but there are also a bunch of stories that are incredibly racist allegories that you might not realize until you also learn his views. (Facts Concerning the Late Arthur Jermyn is a REALLY bad one. The Street also has like…really in your face racism too)
Like, I really like the flowery incomprehensible horror vibe of his stuff, but I think it’s also important to realize that while the work is enjoyable the author was not a great person.
What’s also cool is that his work is public domain cause he’s super dead so you can take his stuff and not worry about giving money to a racist, even a dead one.
