the one I’ve seen making the rounds lately is that virgin/chad doge meme that’s like “homosexuals of yore: I am a strong roman solider I fight for my men blah blah” and “homosexuals today: my favorite netflix show doesn’t have any gays in it :(” and if the weird roman fetishism wasn’t enough of a clue already like. they’re talking about you when they’re talking about today’s filthy gays. you can reblog as many ironic memes as you want but these nazis think you’re a sexual degenerate and want you dead. don’t do their dirty work by spreading that shit.
Imagine if you’re going to an Insane Clown Posse show expecting them to do their usual horrorcore rap rock and instead they come out to circus music in a tiny clown car and start throwing pies at each other and doing funny flipsy-flops and goofs and all of the juggalos are having an earnestly great time for the whole family and then they ask you on stage and you get tricked and squirted with water but in a funny, good-natured way which you handle well and then you get to take a bow and the whole audience applauds and you are laughing so hard it is the best night of your life

What I intended to say was: Is there anything more subtly unsettling than a fully grown adult who doesn’t simply enjoy a piece of child’s media or have fond memories of a special interest revolving around it, but truly and deeply believes in the glitter and fairy dust conjured by a billion dollar corporate machine to the point that any criticism of the company itself or the mismanagement of any of its productions is met with the all the violent fervor of a brainwashed cultist
