okay so one of my LEAST favorite things that movies and shows tend to do is have the “two friends fall in love with the same girl” trope end with them going “wow dude i cant believe we almost destroyed our friendship over a GIRL” like women are some trivial object instead of, you know, people

or the “two friends fall in love with the same girl” trope that ends with one guy going “you treat her right, okay” like he’s giving him a fuckin car or some shit

and im really glad the book of life didn’t do this.
