look at this letter its 78 years old and was sent to my great grandparents to congratulate them on the birth of their daughter (my grandma) isn’t that so cool
i really wish we had a decent sized empty room so i could look at these letters w/o worrying about damaging them or someone getting in the way
my great grandfather was named henry and he collected stamps. about half of the envelopes are empty and my mom said he probably saved them for the stamps.
only my mom seems really interested in it im gonna go through all of them when the kitchen is free like this is?? so cool?? my great grandparents lived in brooklyn and then queens according to these letters.
i found an 85 year old christmas card that my great grandfather sent to my great grandmother through the mail to his own house
her first name was emily this is the woman i was named after isnt that incredible? she was born in 1910 according to the 1940 census
i wanna read the letters but im afraid i’ll damage them but apparently my great-grandparents kept like every letter they ever sent?? it’s fucking amazing!!!
so my mom is cleaning out her closet for this first time in 20 years and we found SO MUCH cool stuff!! i found letters sent by my great-grandmother! and old jewlery! (including a charm bracelet my mom got from disney world when she was ten years old. that’s a fourty year old bracelet!) it’s so cool
went shopping today and caught 20 pokemon. almost all of them were pidgeys but we passed miller’s pond and i caught a goldeen!
it also drained my battery completely AND my portable charger. i bought another one so sunday afternoon i’ll be prepared
