i had a teacher in second grade who was pregnant for the first couple of months but like really pregnant so she eventually had to go on medical leave or whatever its called. but she never came back and one day my girl scout leader was like “girls, i have very sad news. miss delaney lost her baby and she won’t be back for the rest of the school year.”

which is fucked up and all but my little dumbass mind though she had literally lost the baby. like she gave birth and the hospital put it in those nurseries and someone accidentally grabbed the wrong baby like whoops. so she naturally took off from school to be a detective and find the baby.

during next weeks meeting i asked the leader if miss delaney had found her baby yet and i got yelled at for making an inappropriate joke and i was so confused i cried but nobody explained it to me. fuck you mrs r it wasnt a joke i thought she was looking for her baby.

anyway “miss delaney” by jack’s mannequin showed up on this pandora station and i remembered her and just realized that the hospital hadn’t, in fact, misplaced a baby.
