my sister made this in ceramics class and now i have to see it every time i walk through the front door
they hate each other and glare across the room like this all the time.
today my manager paged me and asked me when the first night of hanukkah was. when i said i had no idea, he went “ah, okay. i’ll look it up. gotta remember to give you that day off”
and while i think it was a nice thought, i’m a little confused as to why this is the fourth time i’ve had a manager assume i was jewish and try to give me a day off.
i also found out why i was scheduled to work christmas eve last year and why i’m on the christmas eve schedule this year.
im absolutely terrible with encountering babies in the wild. if i see a crying baby next to me on the bus or something i’ll just stare at them in distress until they stop crying. why are you yelling at me, little guy? i’ve got absolutely nothing to offer you.

talking to some british tourists on the cruise last week and mentioned how cold it was where i lived compared to mykonos. i told them it was like 50 degrees and she just stared at me blankly before going “That’s…..cold, right?”
i had to quickly do some math on my brochure to convert to celsius because i didnt have any wifi or service.
