“in the actual original myth–” i’m gonna need some proof that you have access to the earliest recorded instance of the myth of the kidnapping of persephone. i feel like a lot of people will be very interested to know where you found that.

#m #text #look im more into the roman part of classics degree #cause its sorta hard to do both considering how much there is to learn about an entire culture #so i only took a pretty surface level course about ancient greece so far #but like.....we dont have.....super early written records? #like know hesiod is used by like people today when u talk about myths #cause theogony is pretty good as a reference #but like....the whole gods thing was around WAY before him #and wasnt necessarily written down #theres no like...greek mythology bible.
