major steven universe spoilers and all but the fact that pink never showed up again in the finale and steven going “i’ve always been me” ? really fucking good shit.

pink is, for all intents and purposes, dead. the diamonds treated her terribly and drove her away and they can never apologize. she’s completely gone. she left and spent thousands of years away from them and fell in love and was happy and never had to forgive them. 

idk im a big fan of the fact that it kind of showed that there’s no guarantee for a chance of absolution. you treat someone like shit and they leave and they have no obligation to ever forgive you. like, that’s it! your actions aren’t reversible! it was your fuck up and you have to deal with the fallout of it.
