the current insane twitter discourse is that a YA author who has a reputation for being a picrew avatar uwu type who is constantly starting discourse and calling out “problematic” behavior admitted to being a legacy hire at Lockheed Martin and, in an absolutely wild turn of events, numerous people are coming out to defend him and following this up by saying that good people need to do what they need to do to pay the bills and that they/their family member/their spouse also work at the child murder factory
This has sparked some pretty heated debate over the ethics of working for a shitty corporation but I think that’s kind of missing the point here which is the absolutely delicious irony of someone who made a brand out of haranguing people for being morally compromised was, himself, incredibly morally compromised in the most straightforward and uncomplicated way possible like it’s such a perfect little anecdote
