what is it about a retail uniform that makes boomers lose all empathy or critical thinking
i was grabbing something to eat at whole foods and one woman started shouting “excuse me?! excuse me?!” and I ignored her cause I don’t know her. She then came up to me and grabbed my arm and went “I was calling you! Can you help me find something?” and I was like….I don’t work here? And she rolled her eyes and went “Well can you find me someone who DOES?” and when I said “No, sorry” she got all huffy. like…..bitch I don’t work here and I’m not on the clock. I need to eat.
A couple of my earliest jobs were in retail. Most, but not customers, were pleasant. There were no boomers then. This was in the 60s. I’m a Boomer. I have a question @lesbianshepard or anyone else who has liked and/or reblogged this: Is everyone in YOUR AGE GROUP exactly alike? Are there specific qualities - good or bad - that are associated with every single person in that age group? Is your age group often/always criticized for some horrid or despicable quality/attitude/behavior? If so, do you find that offensive? I’ve known or interacted with lots of people in my age group. In school some people were nice, some were funny, others were spoiled brats and some were assholes. Maybe they stayed the same or maybe they changed as they aged, I don’t know. My point is just because someone is a “boomer” doesn’t mean they are an asshole, a bitch, a callous, greedy, privileged creep. Some of us have redeeming qualities. Some of us are kind to others, kind to animals, want to save the planet for future generations and some of us occasionally have a bad day. Lumping any group together, considering them homogenous, is a form of prejudice. Regardless of our ages, I think most of us can agree that prejudice is not an admirable quality.
bitch are you seriously in your fucking 50s and on tumblr?
what the fuck lmaooo
