i love my advisor but i will never forgive her for talking me into getting a AB in Classics alongside my Archaeology degree. “You’ll want it if you want to go onto getting your masters,” she says, “Don’t worry. It requires 18 credit hours of Latin and 18 credit hours of Ancient Greek, but I think you can handle it if you put your mind into it.”

the only thing that’s keeping me going in Latin right now is so I have enough knowledge of the language when I travel back in time to find Cicero and strangle him with my bare hands.

#m #text #i mean she was right that i'm going to really need it #b/c archaeology requires a double major #because it's a LOT easier to get into a grad school with a bachelor's in something like classics or history #than find one that'll accept the archeology degree #gonna be honest i only have a vague idea of how grad school works #even ppl in my classics classes were like #oh yeah i couldnt do the classics archaeology path thats super hard #most of them just have history/archaeology because of the language requirements
