inspired by a conversation with Katherine, where it was decided that things might have gone better had Enjolras showcased his awesome dance skills

A Joly, as requested! Just chillin’.
Drink with me to days gone by
Can it be you fear to die?
Will the world remember you
When you fall?
Could it be your death
Means nothing at all?
Is your life just one more lie?

Les Amis De L’abc - Bossuet
Bossuet was a cheerful but unlucky man, notable for the fact he succeeded in nothing. On the other hand, he laughed at everything.
if you look at combeferre and jehan during “do you hear the people sing?” they’re literally wearing the exact same outfit and all i can think of is the part of jehan’s character introduction where they say he dresses badly and i bet you any amount of money one of the amis sat jehan down and were like, “okay jehan, this is a really big day and we need you looking nice and serious okay no flowers no tweed/pinstripe/polka-dots combos - we need you looking respectable,” and jehan just reluctantly nods and goes home
and the first thing he associates with serious/respectable is combeferre so he makes a point to dress exactly like him and when he show up the next day at the funeral procession combeferre doesn’t know whether to laugh or cry as courfeyrac just laughs for like fifteen minutes straight
how can you not love bahorel i mean in the brick hugo basically says bahorel was in les amis because he wanted to overthrow the monarchy for sHITS AND GIGGLES
