I know I’ve read people saying that Jaime liked Brienne from the very beginning in the books, but actually reading it is…something else. Like with literally everyone else during his capture he’s always all, “Hey, panini head, are you LISTENING to me???” but with brienne he, without even knowing why, is deadass constantly switching to “I’m not leaving until you laugh.” It’s amazing. He just likes her. He wants to be mean, but he can’t be. I mean he’s still scheming to kill her to get to cersei at this point, but he LIKES her and it’s so pure.
