why is french cuisine so mean?
what did birds do to you guys that you hate them so much?
like American factory farming is cruel don’t get me wrong, but it’s cruel for “practical” capitalism reasons, whereas a lot of french dishes the point just seems to sadism.
Like is force feeding ducks via gavage really necessary? Is killing tiny birds by drowning them in brandy really necessary?
