I expect plenty of hate for this, but why are there so many posts featuring art or stories of Cassandra with fem/Inquisitor (which I’m fine with), but anyone who dares depict Dorian with a fem/Inquisitor gets treated like they just insulted Kim Jong Un in the middle of North Korea?

It’s non-canon and harmless. Let it be. If they claim Dorian SHOULD be straight, then you can tear them apart all you want.

???????????

it’s not harmless??? at all???????????

it’s extremely disrespectful and harmful to dorian

it’s erasing something that has shaped him his entire life? he isn’t accepted in his home country because of the fact that he is gay? drawing or shipping a female inquisitor with him spits in the face of all of this. it spits in the face of the fact that he fled his country and family because they tried to change him.

if you consider completely erasing a part of someone’s identity like this harmless for the sole purpose of your female inquisitor being able to fuck dorian you seriously should reevaluate yourself

I invite you to read my post. This time look at all the words. I never once said I approved of that kind of Dorian fanart, but I support free speech and non-canon art and whatnot. I also don’t like people changing Cassandra’s sexual identity for their fanart, but you don’t seem too broken up about that. Wonder why that is?

funny enough the ‘I support free speech’ excuse is something bigots throw around. wonder why that is?

I did read your post and would like to know why drawing/writing/what have you isn’t considered saying he should be straight because to me, someone who identifies as gay, it most certainly is. it’s saying ‘uggghhhh dorian’s gay?????? whatever I’ll erase this part of his character that has shaped him his entire life just so I can ship him with my f!inquisitor’

I’m not broken up about people doing it to cassandra. I’ll defend queer people creating representation where there is hardly any well before I defend straight people considering all my life I’ve had straight people telling me how unnatural I was

when cassandra’s straightness forces her out of her homeland, has her family disown her, basically threatens her very well being, then I will be upset about it happening to the overabundance of straight people in this franchise

don’t create a false equivalence just to villainize queer people

there’s a really big difference between “the writers want to put these two characters in a queer relationship but can’t because of censors” and “we’re going to keep putting these characters in queer situations and playing it off as a really funny joke”

Well worth the read.

An Excellent break-own of how Moffat simply sucks at writing characters (especially women)
