I know this is a huge oversimplification of how religion spreads and evolves and stuff but I’m still entertained thinking of how Christmas is December even though if Jesus existed his was probably born in Summer or Autumn. Like some guy tries to convince people to celebrate Christmas
“Why would we bother with your Jesus thing? It means we wouldn’t be allowed to celebrate our other festivals. Our gods have a fun holiday in the winter where we feast and celebrate and get presents. Does your god have that?”
“…yes.”
“Oh? When is it then?”
“Same time as your thing.”
