remember in health class where like half the course was about STDs and they would show you pictures of diseased dicks and say “THIS is what could happen if you had……sex.” but absolutely did not go into any detail on what to do if you do get an STD

school district dictating the lesson plan: alright so you’re gonna take the most graphic images of the advanced stages of STDs and show them on a large screen to teenagers for about 40 minutes. i’m talking real sick shit. absolutely revolting. gotta make sure they know this is what happens if you ever have sex.

some logical person: perhaps we could also teach them what the early stages of such diseases and infections look like so, on the chance the kids do get one, they know how to recognize it before it progresses to such a terrible stage.

school district: hmmmm….no.
