today my manager paged me and asked me when the first night of hanukkah was. when i said i had no idea, he went “ah, okay. i’ll look it up. gotta remember to give you that day off” 

and while i think it was a nice thought, i’m a little confused as to why this is the fourth time i’ve had a manager assume i was jewish and try to give me a day off. 

i also found out why i was scheduled to work christmas eve last year and why i’m on the christmas eve schedule this year.
