the receptionist was so scandalized when i told her my male cat was named daffodil. “but that’s a flower” she kept saying “why would you name a boy after a flower” like lady…..it’s a cat…..

ive gotten several messages and comments about this post and if i call daffodil “daffy” for short and i hate to break this to you all but we all call him “dummy” for short and that is, in fact, all he answers to. 

he has a lazy eye and as a kitten he would bump into things b/c of it and my dad would call him “dumbass” lovingly  and we eventually shortened that to dummy and one day we all realized in horror that he’s several years old and doesnt realize his real name is not “dumbass” or “dummy” 

im sorry ive failed you all
