As much as we all loved Janice Rand, I think it’s important to remember Grace Lee Whitney as a person, and not just another member of the Star Trek cast who is gone. Grace fought through so much in her life, including sexual assault and addiction, and the amount of enthusiasm she was able to still put into her life even after all of this just shows what a special and brave person she was.
