  35. sarcastic-salem said: @disasterhimbo Oh, in 1949 General Motors and a bunch of oil companies created a shell company and monopolized the trolley and train transit systems in the US. Then they shut down those systems to make cars seem more appealing. Then in 1956 Eisenhower debuted the interstate highway in the US with Route 66. Which was inspired by Hitler’s Autobahn. And that’s why town planning in the US sucks.

  41. sarcastic-salem said: @disasterhimbo I mean, I know that. I don’t have a problem with Boston — I blame Henry Ford. I just answered your question.
  42. disasterhimbo said: @sarcastic-salem I hate to tell you, but most cities are like that, so it just seems silly to get mad at Boston in particular for that lol
  43. sarcastic-salem said: @disasterhimbo If they’re Yankees fans they are. And I mean that its way easier to get lost in Boston compared to NYC. Please, tell me you are not getting offended because the city is poorly laid out😩
  44. disasterhimbo said: Are you from NYC? When you say “the city makes no fucking sense” do you mean they don’t have a perfectly logical grid of numbered streets or is there more to it?
  45. disasterhimbo said: @sarcastic-salem you’re telling me New Yorkers, as a rule, dislike Boston because of one baseball player from before WWII?
